Local Zine Workshop 06.04.2025

It almost felt like a symbiotic connection and in 6 hours everyone created something special. Swapping the zines like they're collectable cards and having a very personal window from every one person. And it's so much cooler than trading card games because they're all handmade and super uniqe! You can't have it more unique!!

I made my zine about ableism in german because I want to raise awareness in my local area and not everyone reads english. So I also was the only one with a quiet political themed zine. I hoped there were more but I guess most people are frustrated from the (world) news so they want to read something funny instead. I really understand this.
Also I got so much approval for my zine which assured my ability in making understandable zines in this topic. Since it is a giant topic with loads to talk about it was quiet hard to break it down to the essence.
My motivation for zines burns bright now. I wish there were more events or festivals like this. I also got so many ideas for new zines because I realized I have plenty to talk about! Like different handcrafts, more about ableism, my poetry or .....
Every time I thought nobody cares what I have to say but since I got so much feedback I want to make more because there are some people who like to read what I want to say.

And since everyone can make a zine: you can too. I probably won't have many readers for my blog but I don't care. The I don't give a shit is my essence for this site. And same thing goes for my future projects. As long as I have fun with it I'll do it. Thats the most precious value anyone can have in life.
